It took around 10-15 minutes before we got menus, then we just got sick of waiting for someone to take our order... and the seats weren't even half full.

Go somewhere else???!! No seriously - if you've had a better experience please let me know - I'd wanted to try this cafe for ages and I was very disappointed. |

1999... Service was OK, although we definitely had the feeling they didn't appreciate us sharing a bowl of pasta. 2000... Very friendly service, a little slow as it seemed to be a very busy night.

QUALITY: 1999... Excellent, 2000... not quite tasty enough for me. QUANTITY: 1999... Heaps - definitely enough to share, 2000... the risotto was not a particularly big serving, but the others, particularly the antipasto (entree size) was huge!

Nice atmosphere, a little less stark than redback café (which is practically next door).

1999... A pretty cool (hip?!) place to go and have a pasta meal. 2000... I really enjoyed the atmostphere of my late night meal here. Comments regarding meals varied from bland (risotto ortolana) to YUMMY!! (antipasto) to pretty disappointing (the caesar salad which, when requested with no anchovies, consisted of only lettuce, bacon and dressing - where was the parmesan and the croutons??) This café barely scrapes into the cheap eats category. |
