Not sure if they were just not coping with a sudden influx of unexpected customers (overheard something about people on the evening shift being called in early) but the service was very inefficient. The tables inside were almost all dirty and remained that way for most of the time we were there, no one came to see if we needed more bread (which you always do with dips!).

QUALITY: was really good. QUANTITY: heaps of dips and enough bread to match.
PReSeNTaTioN | This is a really attractive cafe / restaurant - I love the paintings on the wall, the painted patterns around the ceiling and the wooden furniture.

The plate of mixed dips and bread we shared was really delicious... the best dips we've had in Canberra! Unfortunately we had to wait over 10 minutes for our second serve of bread, and then only after we spent 5 minutes trying to catch someone's eye to tell them we needed more. As mentioned above the service was pretty bad, however maybe that was just bad timing on our part and bad luck on theirs. Meals the surrounding tables were eating looked fabulous (and judging from their sounds of contentment tasted that way too!): Kofte, Sis Tavuk & Pastirma.

QUALITY: Very good QUANTITY: Quite large serves - if you order 2 entrees & two main meals you will be VERY satisfied! (to say the least)
PReSeNTaTioN | A cosy little restaurant, serving very well presented food.

Classier than Buyurun!, Anatolia serves delicious food at reasonable prices. To keep under the $10 a head why not try sharing several entrees (delicious!) or an entree and a filled pide... At the moment Anatolia have a reuseable "Friendship" card which came in my mother's mail box (she's had two so far and we've had none!) which allows you to get get one main meal free when you buy the other! (excluding pides) A bargain! I recommend you beg, borrow or steal one of these cards if you haven't been lucky enough to receieve one in your mail box! |
