Depending on how many other people are in the restaurant, the service is generally very friendly, although we got the impression some hadn't been waiting tables for very long. While friendly, it isn't the most efficient service.

QUALITY: is pretty good for the price (NB: we only sampled the buffet). QUANTITY: Very generous for the price. (If the first buffet serving doesn't satisfy, a second helping is available for $2.50, but we have never made it through the first!)

This restaurant is located upstairs above the Kohinoor Indian grocery store (as you go in, turn left and go up the stairs). At present the kitchen is downstairs, however they are in the process of moving it upstairs which will make the service a bit quicker. General presentation is OK, nothing flash but not run down either.

If you're looking for a quick and cheap meal go for the buffet - good food at a great price! If you can afford a little more supplement it with a naan bread (garlic naan $1.50) and a raita (yoghurt and cucumber, $2)... oh and try the mango lassi ($2.50)! (for two people what I have just described will be exactly $20) I haven't tried the menu, but my sister has and hopefully will review it for me! |

OK, so this one doesn't really fit into the 'under $10 a head' category, but they have a buffet for $10.95 lunch so it's pretty close! Oh - and a vegetarian meal could be shared by two for under $10 each... Buffet is $14.50 each for dinner, entrees start at $4.80, meat mains at $10.95, vegetarian dishes at $9.90 (main) & $5.50 (side), rice / accompaniments from $1 and breads from $2.

QUALITY: Very good QUANTITY: Huge! Both quality and quantity is fantastic for the price. (NB these comments refer to the platters)
PReSeNTaTioN | Well presented restaurant and food.

TOP | The buffet definitely sounds worth a try! If you are in the mood to spend a little more I highly recommend the platters: we ordered a vegetarian and a meat platter to share. For a little under (vegie) and a little over (meat) $20 each, we got a huge platter which held rice, naan, pappadums, pickles, chutneys & raita, and around 4-5 dishes, and a gulab jamun for dessert - briliant! |
